Rehabilitation

 

Early rehabilitation is vital in Critical Care to reduce physical and psychological complications that can commonly arise in survivors of critical illness. ​

The aim of rehabilitation is to improve muscle strength, physical function, mental health and overall quality of life. Rehabilitation is delivered collaborative by the MDT including – physiotherapists, critical care nurses, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, dieticians, psychologists and rehabilitation nurse/practitioners. ​
