Royal Stoke University Hospital are looking to recruit staff to their new Acute Rehabilitation Trauma Unit (ARTU).
This will be a 26 bedded ground breaking new unit, caring for acute patients following their stabilisation from intensive care or theatres or directly from the Emergency department. Patients will be supported and enabled to achieve their maximum potential for physical, cognitive, social and psychological function.
ARTU is one of the first hyper-acute specialised rehabilitation units to be developed within a Major Trauma Centre. The unit will be run by a large multidisciplinary team, which will care for patients requiring specialised rehabilitation following severe head trauma, complex spinal injuries, polytrauma and other acquired neurological injury.
